For some of the most wanted serial killers in history, 2017 was a year-end farewell. The list included Ted Bundy, John Wayne Gacy, cannibal (and serial killer) Earl Derrion and Charles Manson. John Wayne Gacy
One of the most popular serial killer cases of all time, John Wayne Gacy is also one of the most wanted men in the world. Though the Chicago, Illinois, native has gone down in history as one of the most notorious serial killers of all time, his crimes remain relatively little known in anticipation of his impending execution. On Thursday, June 3, 2018, at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT, the U.S. Supreme Court will hear the case of Gacy v. United States, horror which deals with the legality of his execution as well as his execution date. The last time the court heard oral arguments in the case, it was in May of 2017, and the court was in the process of deciding whether or not to hear the case again in June. The court’s decision, in that case, will have a significant impact on the legality of capital punishment in the US. In short, the court could decide that the execution could proceed, but the date would need to be later than October 1, 2018, and the method of execution would need to be lethal. If the court decides to delay its decision, then the execution could take place as early as December 1, 2018.
Charles Manson
The Manson family was one of the most notorious criminal families of the 20th century, and their murders are one of the most famous crimes in history. In a time when most people were focusing on the November 1, 1999, attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, it was the Manson Family that sent shock and awe through the world. The family was responsible for the murders of actress Sharon Tate, her friend Pierpeppie, and the young girl, Jane, who was one of several members to kill in a barroom altercation. cannibal (and serial killer) Earl Derrion
On Feb. 26, 2016, at age 77, Earl Derrion died of natural causes after living as a vegetable for the past 50 years. Derrion, who was known for consuming human and animal flesh, was one of the more than 100 people who were “cannibalized” over the course of his 16-year career as a serial killer. During his time as a cannibal, Derrion would consume human and animal remains, often in large amounts. To this day, his numerous victims, many of whom he met while performing his rituals, remain buried in the woods around his home in North Hollywood. At the time of his death, Derrion was living in a retirement home in Australia.
The year’s most wanted: Freddie’s Helloynelda Jordan
For many, the year of 2017 was known as the year of Freddie Gray. The 19-year-old Baltimore, Maryland, man was last seen on Feb. 18, 2017, when he was arrested after being put in a car along with his friend and fellow student, Oberolon “O.J.” Simpson, who was already serving a life sentence for his role in the Beverly Hills Robbery-for-Change crime family. Gray’s death sparked an international outpouring of condolences, which led to the construction of a Robert A. Taft Memorial Fountain in his honor. The year’s most wanted man, Freddie’s family, is still waiting for the day to be released from prison.

Should We Fear the Dark?
The darkness of the world really suits the genre, but it’s the lightness of the brand that’s scary. We think the dark is va-va-voom, but to really scare people, you have to take them by surprise. You have to keep them on the edge of their seat and make them think twice about what they’re doing. If you’re not on the edge of your seat, then you’re in a zone, and if you’re in a zone, you’re either in a meeting or you’re having a party. Or you’re actually enjoying the ride. At the end of the day, everyone’s still going to find a way to sit back and relax with a glass of wine and a snack on the way home from work.
